Trainings on the topic "Analysis of X-ray images"
As experts in the training participated:
- Valery Chernya, Coordinator of the US Department of State’s Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) program,
- Vilayat Mammadov and Laszlo Nagy, representatives of the «RenfulPremierTechologies» company.
Within the framework of trainings, the issues of use relevance of the of X-ray equipment for identifying goods that are prohibited and restricted to movement across the customs border; characteristic features of materials, objects and substances that may pose potential hazards, and methods for their detection using X-ray equipment were considered.
In addition, the capabilities of a virtual simulator that simulates the operation of X-ray equipment and contains an extensive base of X-ray images of objects, materials and substances that pose a security threat were demonstrated.
These simulators give possibility to conduct effective training of X-ray equipment operator’s skills in analyzing X-ray images, recognizing and identifying dangerous objects.
With the use of this simulator, practical exercises were held, during which customs officers and frontier guards successfully completed assignments for the analysis of X-ray images and the identification of potentially hazardous items.
Based on the results of the training, all participants received personal certificates of successful implementation of the training program.
The participants of the training expressed their gratitude to the Representatives of the Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) program for the conducted training sessions, noted the relevance of the issues, and expressed interest in further cooperation within implementation of the US Department of State’s Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) program.
